Assessment

Accurate assessment is a hugely important part of our daily routine in school in order to ensure the needs of individual children are met and that they are challenged and supported as needed.

On this page you will find the criteria we use to assess our children in the different areas of the curriculum. Assessment takes place as part of our on-going practice (formative assessment) to inform us of next steps, and at key times (summative assessment) in the year to help us make judgements as to how a child is achieving at a given point. We are then in a position to make well informed judgments about how well our children are achieving and progressing.
