We will test these spellings on Friday 23rd November.
Super Stone Age Day!
WOW! We have had the best day. The children thoroughly enjoyed a wide range of activities including:
Cooking a lovely meat stew
Baking pitta bread
Making Stone Age jewellery
Designing a roundhouse
Making a fire
Eating Stone Age food
and investigating Stone Age food by making playdough poo - but that's another story!
The staff were very impressed with the children, they were polite, keen and a pleasure to work with. Well done Year 3 - another excellent day.
Week beginning 12th November
What a super start to the week! We had a lovely visit to St John's church for Remembrance day. The children were exceptionally well behaved and asked some very thoughtful questions. Well done Year 3.
Here are the spellings for this week:
The children will be tested on Friday.
We have been so proud of the children this week as they have thought about World War 1. We had a lovely assembly today and we have created some beautiful artwork that we have taken to our local church.
Well done Year3.
The children have had a great start to the week. We are continuing with the Stone Age, Bronze age and Iron age until Christmas.
Next Tuesday, we are having a special day, we are going to spend the whole day on Design and Technology activities linked to History. A letter will be sent via email to explain a little more. We are asking for the children to wear school uniform, but to have an extra pair of outdoor shoes/wellington boots for when we go outside.
In Science, we are completing our topic of rocks and soils before moving onto light. Our spellings for this week as linked to light, they are:
We are also reading War Horse by Michael Murpurgo which links into the hundred year anniversary of the end of World War 1.
