Here are our cress, sunflower seeds and beans growing nicely! Mrs Phillip is so impressed with how well we are remembering to water them!
We are each growing some cress and making a 'cress diary' to show the changes we notice.
We have been busy planting this week. First we all planted a sunflower seed and then in groups we planted some peas. We are investigating the conditions needed for the peas to grow. We have made some predictions and are looking forward to seeing what happens!
Here are our pots of peas. Some are in the dark cupboard, some are in the light, some have water and some we are leaving dry. Ask us which we thiink will grow!
Continuing our work on capacity we investigated whether containers held more cups or scoops of rice.
We used our good cutting skills to make pictures of Spring. We even tried rolling and curling the paper to make our pictures 3D!
Here are some of our finished pictures, we are very proud of them!
Science - Plants
We worked in a group to identify and name parts of a flower.
Our finished investigations.
Today we began to investigate volume. We filled a variety of containers with water to show full, empty, half full, half empty, nearly full and nearly empty.
We have been learning about weight this week. We compared the weight of objects, used cubes to weigh objects and ordered objects from lightest to heaviest.
We hope you've all had a lovely Easter holiday.
