Autumn 1

We have had a brilliant reading week and we have been blown away with how many great questions and interesting ideas the children have had about the book “Journey”. Thank you to everyone who joined us for our KS1 teapots and tales, the children loved sharing stories together.

A sprinkle of 'School of Kindness' in Year 2 ...

We have explored the meaning of 'kindness'. Our lovely learners have shared their thoughts on what being kind looks like and how it feels inside.

Today, Class 6 made their own act of kindness for a young boy who is poorly and in need of cheering up by creating the most incredible messages and pictures to brighten their day! What kind, caring, thoughtful super stars!

Our young friend will be so happy and appreciative to receive them, we have no doubt.

The word inspirational springs to mind!

What fire fun we have had today! We designed and made our own models of Tudor houses then we selected some to burn just like the fire in 1666! We thought about the wooden houses and how close they were together which made the fire worse! Lots of independence today everyone, well done...

We talked about causes and consequences linked to the fire in 1666. We used brilliant historical vocabulary and showed great understanding...
