Autumn 1

The Nursery Team would like to send a big warm welcome to all of our new Nursery children and their families!

It is such an honour to teach in Nursery for many special reasons, however, the biggest being that Nursery is the first experience of school life your little one has. We appreciate this very important responsibility and aim to make your child's first year in Nursery magical, filled with lots of exciting learning and blossoming friendships.

We can't wait to go on this journey with you!

The Nursery Team would love to wish everyone a very happy half term! All of the children have made an amazing start to their learning journeys and we have enjoyed every minute of having your fabulous children here at Westerhope Primary School!

We look forward to our next steps in Autumn 2! See you very soon! ☺️❤️

Things are getting spooky in Nursery...

Reading Week has been lots of fun in Nursery! Due to Halloween fast approaching and our Reading Week focus being ‘Rhyme’, the Nursery rhymes ‘Incy Windy Spider’ and ’Little Miss Muffet’ inspired our learning. In phonics, we enjoyed lots of rhyming activities, including making rhyming potions with ingredients that rhyme such as ‘rat’ and ‘bat’. We enjoyed mark making the ingredients in our rhyming potions too! Lots of the areas in the classroom were also Halloween and spider themed! A fun filled, spooky week!

Busy hands!

Autumn leaves are falling down...
