READING WEEK - we have thoroughly enjoyed finding out about Newcastle castle, why it is positioned where it is and how it has changed over the years. We have applied our knowledge to create some fabulous visual timelines to demonstrate how it has changed....
Our class reader this term is Shane Hegarty's "Darkmouth" which we are already enjoying. We are making predictions, focusing on retrieval questions and writing recounts, reports and myths all linked to the text.
9.10.20 Year 6 have really impressed us with their persuasive writing today. Would you be brave enough to visit Darkmouth this Halloween?
STEMFEST 2020 What an exciting day working remotely with an array of top scientists in the field of Earth and Space! We loved listening to their stories about astronaut training, watching their experiments in action as well as joining in with a training regime to ready us for space travel. So many possibilities!
29.9.20 Computing - we have worked on our typing skills and enjoyed the challenge of typing up and making some moon facts look more appealing.
28.9.20 Science in action - we followed clues outside to answer quiz questions about the planets. We then used this knowledge to calculate the scale for sizing the planets
We are becoming experts on all things Earth and Space - we even made our own moon craters!
