This morning we had a lovely visit to St John's Church to hear the Christmas story. Mrs Phillip and Miss Holisz were so proud of how well behaved the Year 1 children were. Well done Year 1!

Today we had a special visitor to support our whole school theme this term of 'Possibilities', Andy who is the 'Keeper of Archaeology' at The Great North Museum came to talk to us about his job. It was very interesting and we had lots of questions.

The Grandma of one of our friends came to talk to us about her mum's holiday to Westerhope 90 years ago! She travelled by tram all the way from Scotswood to see the countryside. It took her 2 hours!!!
We worked with a partner to make an Autumn dance routine. We moved in ways which represented leaves being blown off the trees by the wind and then made spiky conker shell shapes.

We had a brilliant assembly linked to our whole school theme of 'Possibilities', Jane from BAM Nuttall came to talk to us about what it's like to be a civil engineer.
We used our knowledge of colour mixing to paint some brilliant firework pictures!
In Maths today we explored related addition facts using part whole cards and counters.
