Autumn 2

Merry Christmas Everyone - we wish you all a wonderful Christmas and look forward to seeing you all in 2020 🌟🌟🌟

Toy day fun and games are well under way in Year 2 🎄🎄🎄

We are all ready for our Christmas disco ....

A sprinkle of Christmas kindness by Year 2 ...

Class 6 have been busy, kind elves making Christmas crafts, cards and writing kind messages to those who need a little extra kindness at Christmas.

All ready for the 52 LIVES charity Christmas post!

Such kind hearted learners! ❤️

Look at our twinkly mitten pictures...

Year 2 have certainly risen to the challenge of stitching their own Christmas decoration. We are very pleased with their hard work and determination to finish! They all have a fabulous stocking to bring home....

We were very proud of all of the children - they sang and performed brilliantly for their Nativity performances. Thank you all very much for being there and for your continued support ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you to everyone who kindly donated gifts for our “Santa for Seniors” charity, there are lots of lovely gifts under the tree.

Happy Advent!
Year 2 enjoyed making a class Christmas wreath for our tree dressing assembly this afternoon - they even started their own maths inspired decorations!!

They worked very hard on their 2X tables in maths and challenged themselves to read independently and find answers in the text during our English session.

We are looking forward to lots more festive learning over the next few weeks and of course Christmas lunch on Wednesday and all of the lovely Christmas activities we have planned.

Possibilities!! We had a visit today from Diani Walker from team GB who talked about her training and competition as a 100 and 200 m sprinter. We all took park in speed circuits with her and asked brilliant questions during her assembly...

In Maths, the children worked brilliantly as a team to make totals in different ways.

In Computing Year 2 used a new app Balloon+ to create their own eye witness statements based on their history knowledge of the fire in Newcastle in 1854...

What a briliant start to the term with a trip to Safety Works today. We asked lots of questions and learned lots. The team said our behaviour and enthusiasm was AMAZING! Well done Year 2...
