Well...  It has been a very busy start to the new half term.  The children have been very keen and have shown real interest in their new topic

'If You Go Down To The Woods Today'.

We have begun with 2 weeks based around the story of 'Little Red Riding Hood', and the children have thoroughly enjoyed re-telling the story using story maps, small world toys and in the role play area.  Ask your child if they can tell you all about it!!! smiley

We have also begun our 4 week balance bike course and the children were very well behaved and attentive to the leaders Jill and Yvonne, (see pictures further down the page).yes

Children have also started learning some sight words this week and have their first word wall in their book bags tonight.  Please practise these at home each night.  Each word also has an action to help the children remember them (see grid below), and we have also been using the 'tricky word' song, which the children absolutely LOVE heart

Well done Reception!!!!
