Autumn 2

Art Week

Our theme for art this term is Mosaics!

We created a mosaic based on an underwater creature like the Romans would have created.

We did this by drawing the creature on a grid and then painting it with watercolours. Then we cut it up and stuck it down to make it look like a mosaic.

We then got to make a Roman mosaic using real glass tiles!

Secret Buddy Week

During secret buddy week we did kind things for our friends.

Some of us told jokes.

Some of us played games with our friends.

Some of us gave our friends smiles.

Year 4 have been busy finding out what life was like in the Roman army. We decided that there were some benefits, like good pay. However, there were definitely some bad points! Ask your child if they can tell you any facts about the Roman army.

A wonderful morning spent with the lovely Year 4 learners...
