A wonderful atmosphere was evident around school for World Kindness Day this Friday on 13th Nov. Thanks to our friends from ‘52 Lives’ for their input and we look forward to ‘Secret Buddy Week’ to support the national anti-bullying campaign. Good attendance since our whole school return. 96.1% across the whole school. Thanks for your great efforts. Our COVID-19 page is available on the ‘Parent' tab. Brilliant effort here - making a difference by dying socks to sell for those less fortunate!

We had a great day demonstrating our technological skills right across the school. We had puppets, cushions, book covers, toys and all manner of stitching on display. Have a look at the progression of skills across the school.

Lots of reading to adults around school is helping our recovery after lockdown.

Mrs Dalkin’s class have increased their knowledge of Roman settlements and used reading clues to inform their own town planning.

The writing the resulted from STEMFest has impressed Mrs Purdy from a literacy point of view and Mr Bell for the scientific content.

We cannot sing in class due to the COVID restrictions but we can use actions to help us to listen to the lyrics and appreciate their meaning. Year 2 have appraised the lyrics to a song about the Great Fire of London.

Brilliant effort from these two young writers. They were so proud of their outcomes and so were their teachers.

Year 3 quizzed me today about the invasions of Britain by the Romans. They told me all about Julius Caesar and Claudius. I was so impressed with their knowledge. Great effort team!

Lots of reading around school this term so far.

Year 6 have investigated how features of the physical landscape influenced the social habits of the Greeks.

Year 3 are becoming volcanologist!

It was great to see Year 3 using actions to remember the make-up of the Earth.

Interstellar work this week from around the school includes lots of fitness activity in Year 2 as well as geographical knowledge about the Earth from Year 3. Lots of imaginative play in Year 1 and some chronological investigations in Year 6.
