‘Darkmouth’ is great read and our pupils have looked closely at what some of the creatures might look like. Have a look at some of those they will be encountering in the text. They have responded to discussion about the creatures with some impressive writing.

Carol Service

A final rehearsal of the Carol service for tomorrow. You have all been great, I can't wait to see it tomorrow!

Enterprise Week

Year 5 are excited to see you all tomorrow at the Christmas Fair! Here's a sample of what is on offer. Make your way straight to Class 11, where you will find us in a very festive mood.

Welcome to Class 11!

Currently, we are very busy, having fun, learning about the Victorian period.  We are also working hard on developing our multiplication and division skills and in English, we are reading and writing recounts.

Everyone's wonderful Victorian Topic Homework Projects!

Ms Priest

Welcome to Term 1b!

I am looking forward to the coming half-term and seeing the children back at school tomorrow, when we'll be creating some scary settings in our writing. We'll also start our work on fractions, decimals and percentages.

This half-term, we will be continuing to read our Class Reader (Wonder by R J Palacio) and we are going to be thinking about being kind.  In addition, we will be completing some further work on esafety and being digital citizens, expanding on our previous work to look at using apps etc. - we'll be creating our own board games to show off our learning!

We will also be going on our first exciting class trip - details to follow very shortly!
