A wonderful atmosphere was evident around school for World Kindness Day this Friday on 13th Nov. Thanks to our friends from ‘52 Lives’ for their input and we look forward to ‘Secret Buddy Week’ to support the national anti-bullying campaign. Good attendance since our whole school return. 96.1% across the whole school. Thanks for your great efforts. Our COVID-19 page is available on the ‘Parent' tab. This includes the measures that will be in place to ensure the safety of those on our school site. Please view these measures and follow the guidance outlined. REACH FOR THE STARS... POSSIBILITIES...MAKING A DIFFERENCE...BOOKS BUILD BRAINS... ADVENTURE... Our school is 'good' in all Ofsted Framework areas. Our most recent report indicates: 'Thoughtful, high-quality care contributes well to the happy and harmonious school atmosphere.'

Metro Centre Christmas Choir Competition 21.12.17

We are so proud of our fantastic school choir who entered the Metro Centre Christmas Choirs competition and came 3rd in the final!  Well done Westerhope choir!

Dearham Collaborative singing trip 28.3.17

Dearham and Northside School came to visit us from Cumbria for a day of singing! 7.3.17

Westerhope Choir went all the way to Cumbria for a collaborative performance with Dearham and Northside Primary Schools.  We all had a fantastic time and enjoyed the performance. We were really pleased that some of our parents were able to come and watch all the way from Newcastle!  Thanks for your support!smiley

One of learners got an award for playing the piano in a concert. Well done, we are so proud of you!

Violins 15.12.16

The violinists are making great progress! They played 3 carols to open our Lower Key Stage 2 Christmas performance. Well done!

Carol Singing - 15.12.16

Our school choir went to Eldon Square to do some carol singing and raise money for charity. Lots of people came to watch their fantastic singing! 

Our year 3 pupils did a choral workshop with students from Newcastle University

Some of our pupils have weekly violin lessons. Our teacher was once in a famous English folk band called 'Bellowhead'.
Year 6 experienced a West End musical called 'Wicked'.
