Our end of autumn attendance information reveals an improving picture of attendance at Westerhope. Our whole school attendance has improved by 0.87% since the end of 2016/17 and is now very close to the national average. We also have far fewer pupils with unauthorised absence since the beginning of term. We are encouraged that the number of pupils persistently absent for more than 10% of the time is also showing good signs at this stage in the year.
We are pleased with the way in which our children have engaged with attendance and punctuality matters. They are very much aware of the importance of getting to school regularly and on time as well as the classroom boards and the new Win-It initiative.
This will continue to be a high priority and school will continue to monitor, support and challenge in a similar way in the future. Thanks to all those parents and carers who have supported our new procedures and initiatives in this area.
Well done Westerhope!
