As we enter the final day of the 2019/20 school year, I would like to thank everyone within the Westerhope school community for all their efforts in supporting our school this year. We are looking forward to a new start in September with a full school return and curriculum to match. We will focus upon the ensuring our pupils 'catch-up' after a time out of school but also upon making sure they are emotionally prepared after the most unprecedented situation in their lifetime. Our teachers are already planning their areas of study with 'Possibilities' our curriculum theme for autumn.
I would like to say thanks to all of the parents and carers of year 6 for their support over the years and also to our amazing pupils who are leaving us. They have been great role models for others and we fully expect them to excel in their new schools. I am sure they will make us proud.
We will be welcoming new families in September in Nursery and Reception also and we look forward to seeing these new pupils and parents become enthusiastic partners in learning.
Please have a look on the website at all of the transition films but also our Year 6 Leavers' Film. You will also see another film with school staff wishing everyone farewell to everyone with a poem about the year at Westerhope. The poem is written by Miss Holisz so please have look at this, as it sums up how we all feel about life at Westerhope. Click here to view our farewell poem. You will find all of the mentioned videos in our Video Centre!
Please enjoy the summer with the children and keep each other safe.
