Nicole's Journey

We are so proud of one of our pupils in upper KS2 who has made life better for a very special little girl called Nicole. She has produced some wonderful products to be sold for the benefit of Nicole's charity. She is a wonderful example to others - our staff were extremely touched by her efforts. Nicole is the niece of Mrs Hay in our Nursery teacher. On Friday 16th September 2016 at four and a half years old little Nicole was diagnosed with Batten Disease. Batten Disease is an extremely rare fatal neurodegenerative condition for which there is currently no cure for. Nicole's condition means that her unsteadiness will continue to get worse and eventually she will need a wheelchair. It will also mean that her ability to feed herself will also decline, as will her eyesight, most likely until she becomes blind. Nicole's journey can be followed by following the link: . https://www.facebook.com/nicolesbattenjourney/

Once again thanks to those Nursery parents who have supported Nicole and to our amazing pupil!.
