Priceless Art
We had a wonderful artistic exhibit in school today. The artist Riley's work gave our pupils the opportunity to really think about how they felt about the celebrated piece of artwork. We asked the pupils to consider the style and the meaning of the piece. They considered the opinions and thoughts of others in order to form their own views. They heard the tale of how the picture was stolen from the home of an American millionaire and was recently found in a French flea market. Lucky for us the painting is on temporary loan. Thankfully the pupils have taken the security of the valuable very seriously. A guard has been placed by the School Council and Mr Thoburn will be setting up surveillance cameras. We just hope the painting stays safe!
