Westerhope 'Bake Off' Disaster!

Children in Need Day started brilliantly with the 'Westerhope Bake Off'. The School Council organised the event and finalists were selected for the 'blind bake' where Mary Berry (Miss Salkeld)  and Paul Hollywood (Mr Outterside) were the judges. The final three cakes were selected and the 'Star Baker' was presented with the apron. Unfortunately Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry had an argument about pies and cakes! Paul thought his pies were superior. Some of the other teachers disputed his claim and a several pies were flung. Fortunately order was restored when Mrs Purdy highlighted our 'Stars of the Week'. It was great fun and all for a wonderful cause. We are proud of the money raised by our children and thanks to all who supported our Children in Need Day as well as helping with our random acts of kindness for Anti-Bullying Week..
