Year 3 have been studying the local area. We have already drawn amazing aerial plans of our classrooms, so today we tried to draw a plan of our school grounds.

We also took photographs of different places around the grounds and asked the other class if they could work out where we were for each photograph. We had a great day!

Do you recognise these places?

Timestable rockstars has been set for the tables 1,2,3,4,5,8,10 and 11. Please try to spend at least 5 minutes on this everyday. It helps the children so much in their maths lessons. At the minute, we are covering short multiplication and it helps enormously when the children know their tables and makes them super whizzy! smiley

Making shadows

We experimented with torches today to make shadows. We learnt that shadows are formed because the object blocks the light. Opaque objects made the best shadows!
