A wonderful atmosphere was evident around school for World Kindness Day this Friday on 13th Nov. Thanks to our friends from ‘52 Lives’ for their input and we look forward to ‘Secret Buddy Week’ to support the national anti-bullying campaign. Good attendance since our whole school return. 96.1% across the whole school. Thanks for your great efforts. Our COVID-19 page is available on the ‘Parent' tab. This includes the measures that will be in place to ensure the safety of those on our school site. Please view these measures and follow the guidance outlined. REACH FOR THE STARS... Our most recent report indicates: 'Thoughtful, high-quality care contributes well to the happy and harmonious school atmosphere.'

Spring 1

This term our topic is Raging Rivers.

Why don't you find out about the features of a river?

Can you find out how the water cycle works?

Gibside Rivers Trip

We visited Gibside as part of our rivers topic.

We completed different activities at the River Derwent, including measuring how fast the river flowed.

We also took part in various Art in Nature activities, including drawing a landscape picture using sticks and mud!

11.2.20 Safer Internet Day

Good to be me Day!

As part of children's mental health week - we had a mindfulness day thinking about how it is good to be me!

Throughout the day we completed mindfulness colouring and looked at being mindful with food.

We took part in a yoga session and a boxing exercise class.

We also got to meet a cute dog, who is from the Newcastle Cat and Dog shelter as part of our Making a Difference curriculum theme.

In the afternoon, we had a talk with two men from the Cruse charity, who help people deal with bereavement.

Some great ‘Trip Advisor’ advice from our writers.
