Just a quick reminder that we are swimming after the Easter holidays! Parents have all been sent the timetable as it is a little complicated! The children will be walking to and from the pool, so must have a coat with them on swimming days, just in case! Although we are convinced it will always be glorious sunshine.
The children will need a swimming costume (no bikinis girls) or swimming trunks, a towel and we will provide them with a swimming hat. Please put their kit into a carrier bag, as it is easier to get everything packed away than a drawstring bag. Thank you!
This week’s spellings are very tricky! We will not test the children until Friday 4th April. 😉
Next Tuesday (26th March) Year 3 are going to be cooking (and tasting!) some healthy snacks as part of our Science work on animals and humans. If your child has an apron they would like to bring that would fabulous.
Here are the spellings for week beginning Monday 11th March, the children will be tested on Friday 15th March.
World Book Day in Year 3
Today we have all made an origami bookmark, read with Year 5, been on a book treasure hunt and enjoyed reading stories. What a brilliant day!
Here our the spellings for week beginning 04/03/19, the children will be tested on Friday 8th March.
This week we had a visit from our school nurse Jill. We found out lots about friendships and feelings. We have also taken part in friendly February - we have thought everyday about how to be a better friend. We loved it so much, we have decided to make our very own 'Marvellous March', we are going to think everyday about how we can make March just marvellous for everybody!
This half term we are still continuing with our topic of 'All around the World'. We can't wait to see some amazing projects.
Our class reader is 'The Amazing Story of Adolphus Tips' by Michael Murpurgo.
We are planning to study animals including humans in Science. As part of this topic we will be having a brilliant food technology day, where the children will get to make lots of healthy recipes and then taste them all!
