Victorians in Newcastle topic homework

Victorians in Newcastle

Our new topic is called Victorians in Newcastle and it is a local History study about what life was like in Newcastle during the Victorian period.

To get inspired with our topic, we are visiting Beamish on Thursday!

This week, we have been investigating the following question:

If life was so hard in the towns , why did so many people leave the country to go there?

We looked at reasons why people would move to the town from the countryside.

We met Wilf and his family, who were moving to the busy town from the peaceful countryside and asked what there reasons were for moving. You can see there responses in the following videos...

Interviews with the WIlf and his family!
