Spring 2

Talk for Writing

‘We’re Going on an Egg Hunt’

We loved sharing the story, ‘We’re Going on an Egg Hunt’ as our story of the week. We populated our class story map with the different characters that we met on the egg hunt journey and rehearsed the actions to tell the story! Afterwards, we worked in small groups with Miss Forster to create the most amazing story maps! Here is a sneak peek of some of our beautiful work!

Easter decorating and nest cake making!

An invitation to take a moment and observe our new friends...tadpoles!

The Easter Bunny has decorated our classroom ready for Easter!

What’s in the Egg?

We love our outdoor learning!

We have loved our ‘Tiny, Perfect Things’ learning journey so far!

Our ‘Tiny, Perfect Things’ learning journey has started by learning all about Spring flowers. We have been creating observational paintings of daffodils and tulips, counting flowers, cutting and sticking different parts of flowers and making flower crafts!

We have also been working hard to sell flowers our new flower shop. It has been lovely to see the children take pride in their classroom by decorating our home corner with their flower shop purchases!

Perfect Beetles and Bugs!

This week we went on a walk for perfect things and signs of Spring in our outdoor area. We saw lots of spring flowers popping up and a snail shell. We were even lucky enough to spot a beautiful rainbow during a Spring rain shower!

🕷🕸We had a tiny, perfect visitor in our classroom this week! We decided to put our writing skills to the test and give him a name, writing it down. We also spent some time observing him in our curiosity cube, estimating and counting how many legs he had! Afterwards, we took him into our garden to let him find his way back to his spider home! 🕸 🕷
