Spellings for week beginning 13/5/19 are:
The children will be tested on Friday 17th May.
Although it was very very wet, Year 3 had an amazing day at the Roman Army museum and Vindolanda yesterday. We took part in a Latin lesson, saw a bird's eye view of the Hadrian's wall, listened to an archaeologist talk about recent findings at Vindolanda and lots more. The rain didn't put us off, we still walked around Vindolanda, looking for the Roman Baths and the latrines, ask your child what the latrines are!
A super day out and exceptionally well behaved children!
Have a lovely long weekend everyone. Don't forget that class 8 have swimming on Tuesday 7th May and we are all going to Vindolanda on Wednesday 8th May.
Also there won't be any spellings next week as it is a short week etc.
Year 3 have had such a treat this afternoon We had a visit from our very own ex-professional footballer to tell us all about life as a footballer. Mr Outterside kept us fit by showing us what a typical training session looked like when he was younger. We were exhausted by the end of the lesson!
Thank you Mr Outterside.
Welcome to the Summer Term!
All Year 3 have settled back into our routines perfectly. We have started our topic on the Romans today. Don't forget to fill in the consent form for our visit to Vindolanda and the Roman museum. Here are some photographs of our History lesson today where we found out all about the Roman invasion. Did you know that it took the Romans three attempts to invade England?
