Year 4 loved exploring sculpture and 3D models with a range of equipment! Who doesn't love lego?

12.7.18 MADD FUN - Famous North East sculptures and monuments.

10.7.18 MADD Week! Today we were joined by the amazing local historian John Grundy! He told us about all the statues in Newcastle. We discovered all about Earl Grey and John's favourite statue the demented bunny. Fantastic work everyone!

9.7.18 MADD Week We were so lucky to be joined by "Uncle Steve" from the band Lindisfarne this morning. We had a fantastic workshop and the children loved creating rhythms. We worked with the Reception children, who were fantastic! Well done everyone!

5.7.18 Well done Year 4 - you were amazing today on our Innovation Trail around Newcastle for the Great Exhibition of the North. We are really proud of you.

4.7.18 Today we made sandwiches for the Year 2 children. They loved it, well done! Fantastic progress everyone!

We are so excited about our residential this week!  The weather looks amazing and we can't wait to see the children rock climbing, on the zip wire, attempting high ropes, obstacle courses and the slip and slide. 24.6.18 Spellings

Over the next few weeks, we are going to be very busy with our residential, trips and MADD week.  Therefore we have decided that we won't be giving out spellings over the next few weeks.  We still have Mathletics and Times Table rock stars to keep you busy at home though! Thank you for your support.

21.6.18 Year 4 paired up with a Year 2 friend to find out about their healthy eating likes and dislikes because in the next few weeks they are going to be baking bread and making a healthy sandwich for their friend.

21.6.18 We listened to the audio book of Cliffhanger, focusing on Chapter 3. Then we teamed up to turn the chapter into a scene from a play script. We thought carefully about layout and stage directions. Our next job is to perform them...

We have had a brilliant time learning about French instruments, giving opinions and talking about music. Here we became judges on the X factor and created our own interviews.

18.6.18 Well done to these cyclists who worked hard to complete their Bikeability training. Fantastic work everyone!

14.6.18 Design Technology - amazing work Year 4. You worked sensibly and safely to cut, slice, grate, peel and spread.

12.6.18 Warburtons Workshop! We had an amazing time learning about healthy eating with Gail from Warburtons. We then chose our own sandwich ingredients and loved eating our own sandwiches. What a fantastic morning of learning!

11.6.18 We loved finding out about the Great Exhibition of the North and are looking forward to our walking trail around Newcastle.

8.6.18 Sports Day! Thank you so much for joining us for our Sports Day! Well done to everyone for fantastic sportsmanship!

8.6.14 We had such a treat watching lots of Year 4 in the school production of Joseph! You are in for such a treat if you are coming to see it! Well done everyone!

7.6.18 It was a priviledge to meet Laura Samuels, a medal winning athlete today. Her assembly was inspiring and we loved hearing about how she moved from sprinting to long jump before transferring and competing in the triple jump for GB. We even got to pass around one of her medals!! The circuits were great fun.

6.6.18 We loved taking our pulses, exercising and measuring our pulses again. We then recorded data and created graphs using our iPads.

5.6.18 Sports Week

We have had a fantastic start to our Sports Week.  We have been finding out about healthy eating, exercising and the importance of staying fit. We loved having British Cycling come to work with us too! Well done Year 4!
