Summer 2

Happy Toy Story Party Day!!!! Look at how fabulous we look in our costumes. We are looking forward to fun this afternoon at the party!

It feels good to be reunited for our last week together 💗

We are certainly getting those summer beach feelings in reception ☀️

Good Luck England!!! We will all be cheering for you on Sunday!!

Well done to this week's Stars!

We had so much fun exploring the garden. We sound lots of different types of grass. Can you see who is hiding in the tall, tall grass?!!!

We're going on a bear hunt.......Oh Oh, grass. Long wavy grass...!!!

Who knew exploring grass in our school grounds would bring so much curiosity and wonder...

What a wonderful Westerhope garden centre experience set up by our little garden experts! A lovely afternoon spent enjoying a spot of tea and cake in the cafe, ‘help yourself’ planting and flower arranging time and buying and selling gardening equipment using real money! Oh and some musical entertainment!

As part of our work on ‘meadows’ we were inspired by this beautiful picture to make our own collaborative meadow.

We set up a Garden Centre in our outside area. We sold flowers, seeds and garden tools. Some children visited the tea room for a drink and a cake! Great fun!

🌟🌟🌟🏅We are super proud of our stars this week! Brilliant effort all round! 🏅🌟🌟🌟

A fantastic example of just how creative you can be in Reception during choosing time! The independent planning and designing to such detail was incredible and look at this wonderful robot buttoned, pirate themed attire with even a parrot on her shoulder!

A lovely wildflower experience with the lovely Mrs Anderson in the art area using watercolours and fine paintbrushes!

What a super little garden centre in progress! Lots of reception friends will be delighted to visit this centre when it opens!

Busy little learning and play times...

The fun of ‘squiggle while you wiggle’! You can’t beat a bit of Tina Turner, Proud Mary or Dolly Parton 9-5 to get those gross motor skills energised!

We have thoroughly enjoyed our ‘cloud’ topic, ☁️ we have ended our week by following the instructions we have written to make our own ‘cloud dough’ ☁️

We are so proud of our amazing phonics stars for this week. 🌟 They are kind, great at phonics and learning new number facts. 🌟

We have been learning lots about the importance of friendships in Reception. Here is our friendship banner to celebrate our wonderful times together...

The Citrines had a lovely afternoon cloud watching. They could identify different types of cloud and name them. The photos they took were beautiful.

IT’S STAR IF THE WEEK TIME AGAIN! These children have had a great week, we are so proud of them 🌟🏅🌟

It was time to say a fond farewell to our beautiful butterflies who were ready to embark on their new adventure of butterfly life 🦋. Goodbye and good luck to Rainbow, Sparkle, Miss Hymers and 3+8!

We have been looking closely at the clouds. Ask us about the names of some of the clouds we can see. The children took some beautiful photos of what they observed.

We have discovered this afternoon how fantastic clouds are! Our cloud experts have been exploring the different types of clouds and their names...

Ahhh! We have super excited learners this morning as we welcome all four butterflies to the world all fit and healthy! Now it’s time to name these beautiful butterflies! 🦋

HERE ARE THIS WEEKS AMAZING STARS 🌟 ⭐️💫 WE COULDN’T BE PROUDER!

We have been having a lovely ‘sporty day’ today.  We all came into school in our sportswear, we enjoyed playing races outside and a fantastic gym session with Miss Hymers.

We hope you have had a lovely half term holiday in the glorious sunshine! We can't wait to see all of our lovely learners and begin our exciting summer learning together!

And look! The next wondrous process of our class caterpillars has been happening over half term, we can't wait for our children to see them all cosy in their cocoons!
