Year 6 have had a fabulous day at the coast. We started in Cullercoats bay where we studied some geographical features: erosion cracks, an arch and caves. We walked to Whitley bay to carry out a fieldwork investigation of a beach transect. As we travelled towards the lighthouse, we looked at longshore drift and sea defences. The children were brilliant! Great ambassadors for Westerhope.
