  • Year 5 Comando Joe’s Mission 2nd February 2023
Year 5 have been really enjoying their Commando Joe’s mission this half term. They have been given the mission to walk the length of the Amazon river. Ed Stafford walked the length of the Amazon river and it took him nearly two and a half years.    In their first mission, they had to do circuits to check their bodies were ready for all that walking. On their second mission, they had to select essential items to take with them on their journey. In their last mission, they arrived at the Amazon river and they had to work as a team to get across with the river with all of their equipment. Of course, there were also obstacles in their way like crocodiles and water rapids.    They cannot wait until their next mission. Keep checking back for more updates.

Our show and tell was very informative today as the children taught us all about electricity and even which vegetables could be used as batteries!   Our digital leaders were also celebrated for their incredible knowledge in computing and our very own theatre performer showed us pictures of her back stage when performing in a Christmas pantomime, which were fabulous.    We love to see our children’s talents and hobbies on Friday - keep it up Westerhope!
