We have been incredibly fortunate to take part in the PIE Project (Primary Inspiration through Enterprise), a mission dedicated to building effective business education in schools.
Our Year 4 pupils were challenged to create and run a business and make a profit. They rose to the occasion brilliantly. Selling pick‑and‑mix bags and sweet treats at Sports Day, they demonstrated initiative, creativity, and impressive business acumen. Their hard work paid off: they made over £400 in profit!
This fantastic achievement has now been recognised with a £1,000 cash prize for outstanding enterprise performance.
During a special assembly, we welcomed distinguished visitors who presented the award. Ammar Mirza CBE, founder of the PIE charity, joined us to celebrate with the Year 4 children and the wider KS2 community.
We are incredibly proud of our pupils and the staff who supported them throughout this project. Well done, everyone!
