🍚🥘🪷🇮🇳We ❤️ Westy Festy! 🇮🇳🪷🥘🍚

The magic of time given to nurturing and appreciating the art of play. Our Reception learners are the experts for sure!

We are learning all about different clouds types! ☁️🌧️🌫️ And we’re getting so good at observational drawings! 👁️✏️

What a wonderful world we live in!🌍we’ve been finding where we live on the globe and have been comparing our country to others around the world 🌍

Reception had the most wonderful theatre visit to the Tyneside Theatre and Opera House to see Zog. The whole theatre experience was magical from start to finish and our lovely learners were filled with happiness and joy - we were so proud of each and everyone of them!

What a wonderful way to end this super sunny week. ☀️Today, Reception have tasted and shared our experiences of different healthy foods,🍊 🍌including beetroot and pea pods. 🫛We’ve planted beans 🫘 to grow our own beanstalks and we’ve made some amazing observational drawings and watercolour paintings too. 🎨

‘Good to be British Day’ was so much fun in Reception! Our super star learners explored their understanding of British Values through inquisitive play and curiosity.

What a way to begin our nature themed learning of tadpoles! Excitement galore in reception with our new wriggly friends!

Thank you to our librarian visitor who shared all about the reading summer challenge!

We have been learning all about doubles using a Rekenrek. Can I tell you what I did? We deepened our understanding through our creative play of mak butterflies!

A fabulous creation made at the Funky Finger table. “It’s a wobble gobble! It means it eats anything except big things because it has a small mouth!”

Another day of fun getting busy in our wonderful Reception classroom and then more fun in the garden for Forest Friday! <3

A ‘Talk for Writing’ themed Stay and Play with our wonderful families!

Play with clay! It was so satisfying watching the children be so imaginative with the natural materials surrounding them while they made their clay baby animals today. We saw lots of perseverance and creativity! Well done everyone!
