    Another busy one today!

it was the turn of Class 12 to perform for school and they gave us a lively rendition of their favourite grammar song 😊

We had another wide selection of hobbies and achievements shared including sporting awards, Lego creations and a trip to Hole in Wand!

Pupil Committee also shared their posters for Walk to School. They are always working hard to make a difference.

We were very proud to learn that one of our Year 4 children was a winner in a national competition to design a dinosaur for an author. Her prize will be winging its way to her soon - very impressive!

  • Year 4 Sphero Programming

    Thu 13 Feb 2025

Our year 4 children have been taking part in a programming workshop organised through the ONE Trust.

Dr Steve Bunce (robotics teacher at RGS) has been showing the children how to programme a special robot called a Sphero.

In Spring 2, 10 of our year 4 children will get the chance to visit Throckley to show off their programming skills at an event.

They will also be making a programming mat for their Sphero to travel along to take along to the event.

This week we had the highest house point weekly results we have ever had! The children are determined to be the winning house for the half term - watch out, the results are getting closer!

Year 2, Class 6 also performed two poems for us and they wrote the second one themselves! It was super and they have really set the standard for the ‘show and tells’ to follow.

We celebrated a variety of talents including another Lexia finisher from Year 5! Once again the variety of talents Westerhope children have is impressive. Keep it up everyone.
