  • Celebration Assembly

    Fri 27 Sep 2024

So many talented children told school about their achievements today.
We have had an exciting after school science club running, led by staff from The Centre for Life. They have been making animal fact files and then made their animals. The resources the children have studied and the expertise the staff have brought has made this a brilliant club.
We have new rugby stars; more incredible crochet; a kick boxing belt; football awards and a creative superstar.

We were also lucky enough to have our ocarina group perform for us today.

There is so much going on and we love it!

  • Celebration Assembly

    Fri 13 Sep 2024

Our first celebration assembly was, as usual, packed with talented children!

A number of children from across the different year groups were congratulated for running in the Great North Run and we were also very proud of a pupil who used to be at Westerhope who won their race - well done Dylan!

Then children shared gymnastics, dancing and football awards and we were amazed by some incredible crochet creations.

A great start to the year everyone.

  • Year 5 Commando Joe mission gets underway!

    Wed 11 Sep 2024

Year 5 made a start on the Amazon inspired mission for our Commando Joe’s project this half term. Ed Stafford took 2 and a half years to walk the length of the Amazon River and we have lots of missions linked to his adventure. Today we used team work and cooperation skills to choose our equipment before navigating our way across the river rapids! We even had to look out for piranhas!! Great effort everyone!
