  • Frightening Forest Friday Adventure!

Mon 30 Oct 2023 Miss Ellis

Reception got familiar with a map of our school grounds before embarking on a quest to make a spooky journey stick! Lots of children were able to draw an X on the map of exactly where we were at each point of our adventure! Well done!

Fri 27 Oct 2023 Miss Forster

  • A spooky Celebration Assembly!

    Fri 27 Oct 2023

Class 8 taught us all some French in their class ‘show and tell’ assembly today. They have been learning French through songs and shared them with us today, we all felt quite French by the end. Well done Class 8 🎃

We had yet more talented children share their successes today - a go kart enthusiast; a super swimmer; an impressive fundraiser and skilled footballers.

We also celebrated some great homework.

Have a wonderful holiday everyone and we are already looking forward to hearing all about your achievements next half term.

    Wed 25 Oct 2023

Well done everyone! We presented Heel and Toe with a cheque for £860! They were our school charity last year and I am so proud of the effort everyone put into helping us raise money.

We will be supporting another charity this year so watch our for more information.

    Thank you everyone! 🌟

  • Geography Week

Mon 23 Oct 2023 Mr Evans

Geography Week was a great success and we were so proud of the children's work. It started off in Key Stage 2 with a talk from Andrew and Simon about NUFC 's Lemington Hub. Once we knew what Newcastle Foundation were looking for in a new football centre, we then created our own survey and asked members of our family what they would like to see at the centre. Then we had a debate about the different users of the football centre with a vested interest in the design (dog walkers, NUFC, environmentalists and historians etc.) Finally, we had the chance to design our own Hub. This was made even trickier by the two trees that have a Tree Preservation Order on them and the Vallum (the old ditch that runs in front of Hadrian's Wall) which needed to be kept as a site of historic interest.

We were all so impressed with the children's creativity and thoughfulness of their designs. The NUFC team said that after listening to the presentations, they would definitely be incorporating some of our ideas into the real plans for the Lemington Hub!

  • Celebration Assembly!

    Fri 20 Oct 2023

Another fantastic performance from one of our classes today!

Class 6's assembly was all about The Great Fire of London. I think we all learned something!

We also had two fell runners, a gymnast and someone who has been working really hard at home on a Roman shield. So much to celebrate at Westerhope!
