Year 3 DT - Nutrition and Cooking

As part of their Design and Technology, year 3 investigated, designed, made and evaluated savoury tarts.

The children were given the task to design and make a savoury tart using seasonal ingredients for the four seasons restaurant.

They investigated ingredients that are currently available in the UK in Autumn and taste tested them to chose the ingredients for their tart.

They designed their tarts using a design criteria, which included using different coloured ingredients and ingredients that complement each other.

The children made their savoury tarts and evaluated by tasting them.

This week, Year 6 took a trip to Studio West to make some delicious beef tacos to enhance our Geography unit on North America! Who knew we have some excellent chefs who could cook Michelin Star meals?
