What a wonderful way to end this super sunny week. ☀️Today, Reception have tasted and shared our experiences of different healthy foods,🍊 🍌including beetroot and pea pods. 🫛We’ve planted beans 🫘 to grow our own beanstalks and we’ve made some amazing observational drawings and watercolour paintings too. 🎨

Year 2 Broxfield Farm trip

We had such a fantastic day today at the farm! Farmer Thomson took us for a tour of his farm where we learned about how the seeds and plants grow, linking our learning to our science lessons. The day was filled with excitement as we took part in tractor rides, had our lunch outdoors and even met some cows and their calves! The staff on the farm were so impressed with the children; they were amazing representatives of our school today!

Year 6 Careers follow-up

After the brilliant careers fair, Year 6 took it one step further and had a treat - having Mrs. McDonald in to talk to us all about CV writing and applying for jobs. She talked about her work at N21 and asked the pupils to write their own CVs for a job in marketing. Year 6 had a blast!

Westerhope's Careers Fair

Wow! Today Mr McDonald organsied an amazing careers event for our pupils and invited Year 6 children from across the OWL Trust to attend too. The children were able to ask professionals about their jobs, the skills that they needed to undertake them and what they liked best about their chosen profession. It was a great opportunity to see what possibilities there are for our children in the world of work! Well done Westerhope!
