• Last book club of the year!

  Book club have enjoyed a theme each week and made their own book marks and book bags. This week we explored a range of poems and shared some of our favourites!

  

• A running superstar!

  One of our children embodied our school values of POSSIBILITIES and MAKING A DIFFERENCE when he ran 5km to raise money for a cancer charity. He raised £341! What a star he is, we are very proud of him.

  

• Free books!

  Thank you to everyone who supported the Usborne books fair. Due to all of your support, we have £745 to spend on books for school which is fantastic! Well done everyone!

  We will let you know what we get. Usborne Books will be back on World Book Day in March!

• Year 6 Codes and Ciphers

  Our friends from RGS came into Year 6 this afternoon to teach us about Codes and Ciphers. We thoroughly enjoyed cracking the codes and writing our own. Thank you RGS, we had fun!

  

• Choir sing in Newcastle

  Our school choir got the opportunity to sing at different locations in Newcastle. 

   

  They sang at The Grainger Market, The Great North Museum and the City Library!

   

  They were brilliant and represented Westerhope brilliantly!

  Year 6 had a super trip to Blyth beach today. We were extremely lucky with the weather and it only drizzled for about three minutes! We played on the beach, paddled and ate ice cream. We had the best time. A well deserved treat after a super year.

  

• Design and Technology project - Year 5 have been chefs today and all made their own spaghetti bolognaise and garlic breads
