World Kindness Day!
Fri 14 Nov 2025What a fabulous day filled to the brim with kindness! World Kindness Day is a very special day for us at Westerhope. It's a day we spread even more kindness within our school and community (if that's even possible!) while also learning about the impact being kind will have on our own physical and mental health.

Class 14’s trip to Studio West
Fri 07 Nov 2025Our expedition to Studio West was so successful! Taco should now be called Taco Friday! Delicious!

Class 13 visit to Studio West
Thu 06 Nov 2025Today Year 6 had a fabulous visit to Studio West food tech department. We all made delicious beef tacos to fit in with last half term’s North America area of study. We learnt how to chop using the ‘claw’ and ‘bridge’ techniques. We fried beef mince and vegetables to create a tasty filling.

The fantastic football team!
Fri 24 Oct 2025Our football team made up of Year 5 and 6 children dazzled us with their skills in three matches. They were wearing their new shirts sponsored by Snazzy’s Dry Cleaning and demonstrated outstanding teamwork and sportsmanship.

Kindness Club
Fri 24 Oct 2025What a fabulous few weeks of Kindness Club! Each week we have been creating lots of kindness from making bookmarks and hiding them in our school library books as a surprise for the readers to creating special letters and pictures for those we care about. We also have become kindness experts learning about the science of kindness and how incredible it is for our mental and physical health!
If you missed out on Kindness Club, don't worry as Mrs Hay runs a lunchtime Wellbeing Club in our new wellbeing area every Wednesday lunchtime - open to everyone! Come along and create some kindness calm!

Celebration assembly
Sun 05 Oct 2025This week we were very proud of three of our girls who set up their own fund raising event selling bracelets and raised £310 for Tiny Lives. An incredible achievement and actions which embody our school values - Kindness and Making a Difference.
We also had the opportunity to celebrate a variety of achievements - kick boxing, swimming, art and gymnastics. Such a variety of talents on show once again. Well done everyone!

Attendance Inflatables!
Mon 22 Sep 2025On Friday we had our inflatables to celebrate good attendance across our school. All children were able to have a go on the slide and bouncy castle during the day.

Pegasus Reward Day!
Thu 04 Sep 2025Well done to Pegasus for achieving the most house points last year!
As a reward, on Thursday they spent the day taking part in fun activities.
In the morning, the children took part in an art session, a robotics session and an outdoor games session.
In the afternoon, the children had the chance to take part in karaoke, arcade games, elite sports, art and iPads.
All of the children had lots of fun!
