  • Year 1 Northumberland Zoo

Tue 20 May 2025 Mrs Phillip

Year 1 had a great time today visiting Northumberland Zoo. The children loved looking at the animals and learning about where they live and what they eat. The children were also so well behaved; we are very proud of them!

  • Celebration Assembly

    Fri 16 May 2025

We had a super assembly today, celebrating lots of successes.

Year 6 finished their SATs this week and we couldn’t have been prouder of their positive attitudes - they were amazing!

Three children shared their rugby success with us and we are confident they will have many more trophies to show us in the future.

Four children won the Science Poster Competition and were awarded beautiful non-fiction science books which we hope the whole family can enjoy.

We also had our usual fantastic array of ‘show and tells’ including a go kart champion; Lego building super stars, a boxer, a kickboxer and a footballer. Our Westerhope talents really are endless!

    Well done everyone!

  • @Team Kind @ Westerhope Vests!

Thu 08 May 2025 Miss Forster

#Team Kind @ Westerhope vests were launched this week and modelled in assembly by our wonderful Pupil Committee/Kindness Ambassadors.

The idea is that this lovely group of children will wear them over break times and lunch times whilst being on the look out for acts of kindness around school. They have a supply of special kindness stickers to hand out too.

  • Whorlton Grange Care Home Trip

Thu 08 May 2025 Miss Forster

One of the Pupil Committee's missions is to spread kindness and contribute to the local community.

We loved our trip to Whorlton Grange care home today! We worked alongside the residents to make a banner for the care home's VE Day celebrations. It was very interesting to hear about the resident's war experiences too.

We cannot wait to go back and share more special times together.
