ONE Trust Yr 6 Careers Fair
Wed 17 Jun 2026Today we hosted our fourth careers fair for Year 6 and it was brilliant! Year 6 children from across the trust had the opportunity to meet employers from a variety of sectors and find out about future career possibilities. 26 exhibitors came together to create a vibrant and exciting experience for the children. There were numerous compliments about the children’s brilliant questions; impeccable manners and the variety of careers the children said they were interested in.
A huge thank you to everyone who came to support the event and well done to all of our children who we are very proud of.

Year 6 Travel Induction
Tue 16 Jun 2026Year 6 were treated to our annual bus induction. We learned about safe use of buses and public transport, Pop cards and logistics to help us when out and about!

Year 1 trip to Whitehouse Farm
Tue 09 Jun 2026Year 1 had the best time at Whitehouse farm today! We learnt about lots of different types of animals and their habitats. We loved holding the animals and had an exciting adventure on a tractor ride!

Zumba with Miss Wood
Thu 04 Jun 2026Miss Wood led a fabulous Zumba session for Year 6 this afternoon, even though the rain tried to dampen our spirits, we still powered through! Thank you Miss Wood.

Circus skills in Year 6
Thu 04 Jun 2026Year 6 had a fabulous time yesterday when we had a go at some circus skills. We tried headstands, tight rope walking, hula hooping and flower sticks. It was a LOT of fun!

Recycled Big Art Attack
Fri 22 May 2026Year 3 have been getting creative with the recyclable materials which we received from our generous school community. This is Westerhope's entry in a competition to create a recycled 'notice board' in honour of Sir David Attenborough's birthday.

Year 6 Come dine with me
Thu 21 May 2026Today Year 6 created their very own three course meals in the style of Come dine with me. In teams of six, they made a starter using red pepper, a main course using a salmon fillet and a dessert using fresh pineapple. The results were amazing! The children thoroughly enjoyed preparing, making and of course tasting! They were even happy to do the washing up, I think!

Year 6 Coastal visit
Tue 19 May 2026Year 6 have had a fabulous day at the coast. We started in Cullercoats bay where we studied some geographical features: erosion cracks, an arch and caves. We walked to Whitley bay to carry out a fieldwork investigation of a beach transect. As we travelled towards the lighthouse, we looked at longshore drift and sea defences. The children were brilliant! Great ambassadors for Westerhope.
