Celebration Assemblies an Pupil Leadership
Fri 27 Feb 2026Every week we have a celebration assembly and each week we share a variety of hobbies and talents.
We have also been celebrating our Pupil Leadership lunchtime clubs. Dance Club and Singing Club have performed for the whole school and they were amazing. We watched an incredible dance and singing club sang Firework. They prepared their performances without any adult support and performed with confidence and broad smiling faces. We are very proud of our children 😊

Fantastic Football!
Tue 03 Feb 2026Our wonderful Year 5/6 football team competed in their second round of their Duffy league tournament last week. The team worked together brilliantly and even managed to score 2 goals. Well done team!

Year 5 Theatre Royal trip
Mon 02 Feb 2026What a fantastic trip!
Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed their trip to the theatre to see the new musical ‘Weird’ based on Shakespeare’s Macbeth. We still can’t believe we were lucky enough to win the tickets!! -
Geography in the EYFS!
Fri 16 Jan 2026After reading the book - Immi - Reception have been learning about how it feels to be part of an Inuit community. Today in Forest Friday we pretended to be one. We practiced hunting Arctic animals and shelter building for survival, as well as drumming, dancing and traditional throat singing. We had so much fun!

Pegasus Reward
Fri 09 Jan 2026Today, Pegasus were given their reward for having the most house points at the end of Autumn 2.
At the end of the day they took part in activities such as using the climbing frame, playing board games, colouring in and other fun activities.
They all really enjoyed their reward!

Celebration Assembly
Fri 19 Dec 2025This was out last celebration assembly of 2025! What a year it has been. So many children have shared their talents and hobbies and we love to see what they achieve next.
This week we had a dancer, Lego builders, super swimmer, a Go Kart champion and even a letter from Santa Claus!

Christmas Art Competition
Fri 19 Dec 2025The children were asked to create a piece of Christmas themed art and the judges had an incredibly difficult time choosing their winners. There were three winners from each year group and they each won a selection box which was generously donated by Vision Education. We have talented artists here at Westerhope!

Dancing Divas Lunchtime Club
Fri 19 Dec 2025We have a number of clubs run by children at lunchtimes. This half term the Dancing Divas worked brilliantly together and performed their dance to the whole school. We were all very impressed! Well done :)
