Year 4 Sports Week
Fri 07 Jun 2024Year 4 have had a super sports week even with the rain cancelling our sports day! We were lucky enough to take part in a dance workshop with Natasha who taught us a whole dance routine. Everyone joined in and enjoyed adding their own dance moves!
We also tried golf with Mr Elwood which was brilliant. We learnt how to hold the golf club and realised how tricky it was to hit the golf ball. Well done Year 4.
Let’s cross our fingers for some good weather for our sports day in July.

Another wonderful Forest Friday!
Fri 17 May 2024Reception were inspired by Vann Gogh's Patch of Grass artwork and enjoyed experimenting using handful of grass to paint with instead of paintbrushes. We made some fabulous pieces of artwork and created a gallery around the fire circle to showcase our work. Meanwhile, some of us went on a bug hunt through the long grass. We were shocked when Mrs Forster managed to catch a Hoverfly! Others explored the scales comparing weight and capacity. Oh what fun we've had!

Celebration
Fri 26 Apr 2024Every Friday, the children are encouraged to share their hobbies and achievements with the school during celebration assembly.
This week, two girls shared their incredible blankets which they made at home from scratch. Surely they have a future business in mind! They are both incredibly talented.
We also have a future engineer who shared just one of his many creations and this time it was almost like a bow and arrow that could shoot elastic bands at least 4m. Amazing!
Then as if Westerhope are not talented enough, we had a gymnast, a dancer, a swimmer and even someone who walked all of Hadrian’s Wall - 84miles!
We are so proud of our talented children! Keep sharing everyone!
